About this listen
Meet Poppy the Pea! Poppy lives with her fellow peas "in the dark and freezy degrees." She dreams of being bold and free to explore the outside world, but one irrational and overwhelming fear stands in her way. Can this sweet little pea ever be bold and break free?
Join Poppy as she engages with fear, setbacks, and wise characters on her first and formative adventure! This is the first title in a new rhyming book series following the adventures of Poppy the Pea—now brought beautifully to life through the engaging voice of actress Julia Savill and fun sound effects and music that will entertain listeners young and old.
This audiobook is a perfect accompaniment to the Poppy the Pea hardback or eBook, and is suitable for children aged five onwards: with playful rhyming verse and catchy refrains that convey a variety of life lessons and discussion points. The division of the story into five very short chapters also introduces emergent listeners to a more structured format. Poppy the Pea - Oh, what a great way to be is a charming short tale centred around an endearing female character, with universal themes of bravery and hope that will appeal to all genders and ages.

A moving and important little book
This is by far one of the most beautiful and important books we have come across. Important, because it's a story about facing your fears and anxieties and how we can find the courage to follow our goals despite self doubt and setbacks. It's definitely for all ages, young and old. This made us and our children (10years old and 8years old) giggle and shed a tear or two. It will touch hearts in the most gentle and heartwarming way. The narrators' sweet & gentle fairy-godmother-like voice, and the cheeky little sound effects that punctuate the story, bring it all to life brilliantly. Perfect little gift!

Fantastic story and narration!
Love the rich and engaging voice of the narrator Julia Savill and the also really enjoyed the sweet sound effects throughout the book. This is a beautifully told story and one my children love. It's short but entertaining, has a powerful message and unlike many longer audiobooks is a title to listen to again and again! Highly recommend!
