Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
A roadmap for thinking clearly in any situation.
We all aspire to see the world clearly. And yet all too often, when the pressure is on, we give in to our most irrational impulses - making intuitive decisions that take us ever-further from our goals.
In Clear Thinking, Shane Parrish - 'the former spy who helps Wall Street mavens think smarter' (New York Times) - explains how to think clearly in any situation. He shows that the path to clear thinking lies not in the most high-stakes decisions, but in the most ordinary moments - from how we start our mornings to how we approach our daily conversations. And he uses stories, mental models, and psychological insights to offers a transformative method for seeing through our biases and understanding what's really happening.
The result is a must-have manual for optimizing decision-making and living intentionally. It will clear your head and transform your life.

I think I'd have preferred the print version.
Audiobooks offer a convenient way to absorb content, perfect for multitasking during daily routines like driving, chores, and exercise. However, as I discovered whilst listening to this book, it can be challenging to fully grasp the material when your attention is divided. I couldn't help but realise that I might have missed out on some valuable points had I not been preoccupied.
In retrospect, this book seems better suited for a dedicated, note-taking session rather than casual listening whilst on the go—a sentiment I believe Shane would share.
The only drawback, aside from my own divided attention, was the narrator's style. While not a bad narrator, his voice had an old-fashioned quality that felt out of sync with the book's contemporary content. Personally, I would have preferred Shane's narration throughout the entire book.

So simple, so meaningful, so beautiful
I loved the flow of the narrative exploring inner and outer worlds. A masterpiece by Shane, similar top value as his Mental Models series.
I use this book as a guideline and check list until I develop clear thinking as habits - it helps me to have it close by in either audio, electronic or print format.

Masterpiece on becoming a better thinker
I really enjoyed it! I’m a big fan of Shane’s writing. But this is great concise guide to getting better at thinking. Best few hours I’ve spent on a audiobook recently!
