Grand Stories - Messy Chapters

As with previous releases of Dick King-Smith's stories, these recent audiobooks are a delight, and Ayesha Antoine (someone I hadn't heard of until recently) did a marvellous job of reading them. Although her choice of voices in 'Dragon Boy' are more of a surprise than anything - in spite of that story being set in England in the Middle Ages, she gave one of the main characters something like a Jamaican accent...

Alas, as with a previous DKS release, one of the stories that was mentioned in the synopsis, 'Bobby the Bad', was *not* featured in the package.

But the main concern I have are the Chapter Titles themselves. It looks as though someone didn't proof-check them properly before they were released, with many of them being incorrectly titled and worded, which makes them look horribly messy (Example: 'Rollo the Rhymer' is mistakenly titled as 'Rollo the Rhino'). This is why the Overall Review here only gets three stars.

However, as I've said, there's nothing wrong with the stories themselves nor the Storyteller herself. If only the chapters could have been corrected, and the missing story added, it would have been perfect. But don't let that deter you from purchasing and listening to them for yourselves!

Something went wrong. Please try again in a few minutes.
