Good book not a great narrator

I was really looking forward to enjoying this book but the narrator is really annoying sometimes it sounds like trying to read as fast as he can and other times there's pauses when they don't need to be I don't like criticising anyone but I can't listen for more than an hour very frustrating

Pauses

Good story well read, I don't know if it was a.production issue but there were significant pauses that were slightly annoying.

Awful narration

Desperately trying to listen to this but the narration is some of THE worst I’ve ever listened to. I’m an hour and a half in and I can’t listen to anymore (it’s about 11hrs). Incredibly monotone voice. Massive, strange pauses mid-sentence, some very strange intonation, audible mouth champing and swallowing. Feels like this hasn’t been edited at all. listen to the sample.

Such a shame as the story itself seems like great Judge Dredd material. Purely down to the narration alone, they’ve somehow made events surrounding one of the most epic Dredd events, Apocalypse War, simultaneously painful to listen to and sleep inducing.

PLEASE remake this with a new narrator!

I’ve loved the other Rebellion audiobooks but this one completely ruined it. The narrator is so bad here. He leaves awkward pauses, breaks words, makes no attempt to make the characters his own and generally ruins the entire experience. I even heard a car in the background of his audio at one point. I’m sure he’s trying his best but maybe this kind of thing isn’t for him.
