Summary

Termight, a world at the heart of a cruel galactic empire. A world devastated by nuclear warfare. Deep below ground its inhabitants try to eke out a mere existence, continually threatened by the Terminators, led by the diabolically evil Torquemada.
Torquemada, a twisted human despot intent on purging all alien life from the galaxy and punishing the deviants. His motto: Be pure! Be vigilant! Behave! There is a resistance though, and a new kind of hero. Meet Nemesis the Warlock, champion of the coming rebellion! This vast and arcane tome contains the first four books of the Nemesis saga.
Featuring Patrick Warner as Nemesis and an ensemble cast including Keith Allen, Natalie Simpson and Roy Macmillan, long-time fans of Nemesis the Warlock and newcomers alike will be transported to the brutal world of Termight for an immersive listening experience like no other.

Wowing the Warlock 😈
Fantastic re-working of the Nemesis the Warlock tale. One of my favourite Par Mills stories and beautifully illustrated by the late great Kevin O’Neill amongst others!
Over 4 hours of listening and well worth the money, a must have ❤️👍🏼‼️

Credo!
A spooky satire of English society - as good a the comic was. Though I would delete the racist remark in Ch52.

Audio only for fans of the comic
This audio version is only for fans of the original Nemesis the Warlock from the comic 2000AD where it ran throughout the 80's & 90's & tells the first 4 volumes of the story. Many of the voices do not match with preceived ideas of what people had imagined for them, Keith Allen does not suit the character of Torquemada at all, Hammerstein is ment to sound like your typical US Soilder not Sylvester Stallone, Blackblood is a Volgan(Russian) droid not British & other character voices just don't match the comic's image. Much of the humour from the comic's artwork story telling is lost & the way they have kept it as individual comic book episodes instead of making it into one story brakes up & interupts the flow of the story as you get alot of the past storyline being repeated at the start of each episode. This could have been done alot better with more thought & possible help from the original writer & artists

Exactly as the comic strip
the Nemesis The Warlock audiobook is exactly as the comic. the chapters are short and try to sum up each episode. the performance is great with suitable voices for the characters and the sound design has been carefully crafted for each episode, but therein lies its flaw. I would have preferred a proper audiobook adaptation like the judge dredd year one audiobook rather than the faithful issue by issue one here. Still, it is faithful to the source material and reliving the reforming of the ABC warriors was a little walk down nostalgia Lane. recommended for fans of the comic strip!

very well done, mostly
like previous 2000ad adaptations, this is basically the comic being read out loud with effects and voice actors.
whilst it's good, I feel an actual radio play like version would be better, as it's really annoying when the narrator has to read the catch up text box every episode that the comic needed but this 109 per cent doesn't.
good actors, with Torquemada channelling David Warner.

Awesome 🙂
Completely awesome!
Helps that I read all these as a kid, and still had the stupendous artwork of Kevin o Neill in my head, the tremendous exciting soundscapes and the original dialogue brought them forth with remarkable clarity after all this time 🙂
They cram so much into the runtime! I'm going to buy the collected Graphic novels again when they come out in December, so I can listen to this while reading, well done everyone 😀

Be Pure... Be Vigilant ..Behave...Be Entertained
Loved this. Always a favourite story from 2000ad. This is an excellent adaptation of Nemesis. A Fantastic story narrated with passion and feeling. Evocative and entertaining and a worthy partner to the Nemesis Graphic Novels
If you are a fan of Nemesis and 200ad -Treat yourself....and remember...

This is an absolutely excellent adaptation of the books. highly recommended and I hope that more will be
asmade in the future. The audio book captured the humor and the drama of the original works! Credo!! Aim to misbehave! Long live Nemesis!!!

Suffers from a lack of "Adaptation".
This takes the text from the comic - pretty much verbatim. There is minimal narration but no effort is made to adapt the speech from the comic to fit an Audio version. This has not been adapted in the least. There is a reason why the artist of the comic are listed on the cover as you need to have those visuals in your head! It's only the fact that I have read the comics so many times and I already have those wonderful images in my head that I was able to follow the story - which is great! It's a shame as
comic writer Pat Mills has done audio dramas in the past and could have adapted it to suit. I have been an avid listener of audio dramas since the late 80s and can tell a good adaptation from a bad one. This, whilst sounds great isn't a good adaptation.
