Summary

Agnes Lockwood is no stranger to crime scenes, but even she is shocked when she finds the body of a man lying on the floor of the ladies' room.

With her partner Alan - the local DCI - they set about tracking the murderer. This time, they are joined by her friend Sandra. But is one of them holding back something that could further their inquiry?

As Agnes begins to pull the loose ends together, danger stares her in the face once again. Together with Alan and Sandra, can she find the killer before another life is lost - and avoid becoming the next victim?

The best one yet.

Agnes habits spread around.

It’s so obvious that the author Eileen Thornton is in love with her character in the story Agnes ( a woman with to much money and no friends at all ), she does whatever she feels like even if it’s illegal, she is rich and dependent on nobody, in truth it’s believable that her marriage to a high ranking officer was done only to get some substance and les boardroom into her life and maybe a tiny bit of love.
And now Agnes causes others to behave like she does as usual forcing herself into unbecoming behavior of a honest lady.

WOW, excellent twist
On top of another.
with the door man.

The narration by Deborah Balm was done beautifully for each of the characters in this story.

Making bath time fun again

What a better way to relax and enjoy a bath than listening to Deborah reading the latest Agnes Lockwood adventure! Great narration of great stories, so good to be back with Agnes and the gang again. Lots of twists and turns, mysteries to solve and more character developments, what's not to like .... I mean love! Thanks Eileen.

A firm favourite

I really enjoy this series. I love the way the women are always ahead of the men in solving the mystery.
Alan doesn't seem to learn from his past mistakes and his attitude towards Agnes and her sleuthing was starting to get on my nerves. I'm hoping he'll be better behaved in the next book or I can't see Agnes putting up with him for too long! Maybe he needs a rival for her attentions to put the wind up him.
An entertaining mystery and excellently narrated.
I received a copy from the author and this is my voluntary and unbiased opinion.

Mystery on Tyneside.

This Fourth Agnes Lockwood Mystery is like the previous books in the series an addictive listen. It's like meeting up with old friends. Once again Agnes is drawn into a murder investigation and her interfering ways mean she endangers both herself and the investigation at times. Why her on off boyfriend Alan put's up with her I don't know. LOL! Deborah Balms narration is excellent bring all the characters to life. Highly recommended.
I was kindly given a copy of the book and leave this honest review.
