About this listen

Penguin presents the unabridged downloadable audiobook edition of The Emperor's Revenge by Clive Cussler and Boyd Morrison. Read by Scott Brick.

The new rip-roaring Oregon Files adventure from the grand master of adventure, Clive Cussler.

Juan Cabrillo and the crew of the Oregon face their toughest challenge yet when a violent bank heist during the Monaco Grand Prix decimates the Corporation's accounts. To get the money back, Juan joins forces with an old friend from his days in the CIA, so they can track down a rogue hacker and a ruthless former Ukrainian naval officer.

It is only after the hunt begins that the enormity of the plan comes into focus: the bank theft is just the first step in a plot that will result in the deaths of millions and bring the world's economies to a standstill.

The catalyst for the scheme? A stunning document stolen during Napoleon's disastrous invasion of Russia. But 200 years later, it may be the thing that brings Europe to its knees.

Scott Brick brings the Oregon to life

I had read the book a while ago, and this presentation lives up to the book I read.
as always there is a difference between what your mind's eye sees when reading and any performance. Scott Brick does not dazzle with accents and voices, he just performs which allows the listeners imagination to still work.
The authors genius shows through building on the characters existing presence.

Well worth a read, listen or both.

alternative history

I enjoyed the facts mixed with alternative possibilities, There were a lot of narrative paths to join up but as always cussler always makes the connections clear.

Love it!

Ah the Oregon... my fave of CCs, wish there was more of the older Cussler books on audible now I can't see to read anymore and for all the newbies discovering this amazing storyteller. Scott Bricks sexy voice does the tales justice and as ever so much is based on fact and original history. Love em.

Great Plot!

I am never disappointed with the plot points, storyline, narrative and character developments for this series.

For years was uncertain about Clive Cussler - I really needn’t have been! I’ve been binge reading him ever since book 1 and am slowing my pace, because I’m not sure how easy it will be to switch to his other characters.

This is a great high tech story and only looses 1star because of... well, you’ll find out...
Scott Brick is phenomenal! The ONLY person who can narrate an Oregon tale!

Gripping

Wonderfully gripping as all of the Oregon Files have been so far coupled with great narration from Scott Brick. Very entertaining. I'm blown away at how he manages to change accents and keep the flow moving.
