Summary
The compelling new Second World War novel from the author of Always in My Heart.
In defending herself against her brutal husband, eighteen-year-old Ruby Clark is forced to flee London. She has no idea where Cliffehaven is, or what she will find there, but she knows that she will never be able to return home again.
At first it seems she’s fallen on her feet. She gets a job at the local armaments factory, and the couple she is billeted with are kind and supportive. But when her host makes advances, Ruby is left homeless once more. Until Peggy Reilly welcomes her into the warmth of Beach View boarding house and Ruby dares to hope for a brighter future…

another wonderful listening experience
Would you listen to All My Tomorrows again? Why?
I would listen to All my Tomorrows again and again as the author has written a book which not only entertains it had me gripped by the wonderful characters especially all those inhabitants of Beach View Boarding House (well most of the time they were wonderful :-) but mix the wonderful storytelling with a narrator who certainly knows how to bring life into the character and the beautiful surroudnings of Cliffehaven and the beautiful South Coast of England.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved how once again we are brought into the household of Peggy Reilly and as daily life takes over, Peggy is always looking after those she cares for while dealing with her own heartbreak. The author not only give us a book about the Second World War but give us readers, characters who truly mattered to the storyline and it was hard not to become attached too. The writing was so vivid and exciting and then mix that with a narrator Julie Maisey who brought the characters alive with voices which matched their varied personalities. My favourite was when she acted out Ronan Reilly I could almost see him trying his best to look after his family while trying to keep out of mischief, well to be honest more like not being caught was his motto yet his bravery was shone brightly which had me reminded of a lit beacon
Have you listened to any of Julie Maisey’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Yes she is one narrator I keep an eye out, she has a wonderful way of giving each character their own voice and mannerisms which really bring more depth to the storyline, I almost feel like I am part of a private audience watching each character really come alive through wonderful vocal acting.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Oh yes this book, like all of Ellie Deans was full of every known emotion, one minute I was laughing out loud the next the tears were flowing as I ached for the characters as they suffered due to the actions of the evil Hitler and all who supported him.
Any additional comments?
This is a wonderful book, I would highly recommend you follow the series from beginning to end as you will receive so much more joy and satisfaction as you really connect with the storyline and those who turn to Peggy Reilly in their time of need.
