Summary
'I believe, from what I can hear, that either my daughter or my wife has just been attacked. I don't know the outcome. The house is silent.'
Fourteen years ago, two teenage lovers were brutally murdered in a patch of remote woodland. The prime suspect confessed to the crimes and was imprisoned. Now, one family is still trying to put the memory of the killings behind them. But at their isolated hilltop house...the nightmare is about to return.

As always an excellent read!

Wolf is an all round good book!
I love the way jot Davies tells the Mo Hayder stories he is my favourite narrator and I wish he did more, so far I have only found two audio books read by him.
POPPET is the other Mo Hayder book he reads and it is by far the creepiest, if u enjoyed Wolf then defo give this one a try!

10/10
It has taken me around 4 years to get past the first few chapters of this book. I keep reading starting loosing interest and coming back a few months later. Don't make the same mistakes as me, it's brilliant! From chapter 5 onwards I couldn't stop listening!

Chilling and suspenseful
This is Mo Hyder at her best and nobody does suspense and chills better. It is the seventh book in the Jack Cafferey series and in my opinion the best yet. I wasn't a big fan of Hyder's earlier books as I found them too horrific, maybe even gratuitous, and the plots less convoluted. I am so glad I persevered. Here, the plot is carefully told, twisting and meandering then drawing towards an unpredictable ending. I loved every minute. Fans of Jack Caffrey will love the further development of his own personal story. If you like psychological thrillers that are dark and disturbing then this is your book.

Perhaps not my favourite from Mo Hayder.
Although not particularly my favourite Mo Hayder book, it was still written in the same wonderfully descriptive fashion and a complex, interesting story. You can never go wrong with one of Ms Hayders’ books. It’s a testament to her outstanding writing ability that such a good novel is not one of my favourites! Spoiled we are!

Enjoyabel listen
What did you like most about Wolf?
Really good story that kept you guessing until the end, with twists and turns that I did not guess. Really good murder mystery. Reliable author that doe snot disappoint. I listen to the audio books when I take the dog for a walk. I walked a lot further when listening to this as I wanted to find out how it ended!!

I LOVED every enthralling, suspenseful moment
What made the experience of listening to Wolf the most enjoyable?
The narrator was brilliant but I have to say I've never listened or read a Mo Hayder novel and now I'm hooked. Suspenseful story telling at it's best. Great twists and just a thrilling journey from start to finish
What was one of the most memorable moments of Wolf?
My favourite was fairly near the start when 'the moment everything changes' happens
What does Jot Davies bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?
He was a brilliant storyteller, he told the story well differentiating the characters well but without detracting from the story
If you made a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
People are never quite who they seem !
Any additional comments?
I've now started the DI Caffery series from Book 1. Wolf was my first Mo Hayder which was book 7 of the series and although it stands out as a brilliant book in it's own right I need to know what happened before now. A summer full of Mo Hayder ahead I think

Gripping.
Where does Wolf rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Top three.
Have you listened to any of Jot Davies’s other performances? How does this one compare?
Don't think so.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Scared me! I will be locking the doors more often!
Any additional comments?
Listened to this on a long drive. We couldn't wait to get back in the van to continue the story. The only bit I didn't like was with the dog and jewellery. Without giving the game away it all ends well for the dog.
