Summary
Quint is the son of a sky pirate captain. He arrives in Sanctaphrax at the request of Linius Pallitax, the Most High Academe, who needs an apprentice he can trust to carry out a series of highly important tasks. curse of the gloamglozer
This was an exciting,(sometimes frightening) story for a 9 year old. It described Quint's adventures at a rapid pace, and he didn't want to stop listening until after dark!

Abridged too far?
It could well be that I don’t remember this properly. This was a nostalgia-buy. I read these books about 20 years ago when I was 11 and loved them. And it is possible that my nostalgia is just shinier than reality but I feel like there was more in these books that made me really invest, that pulled me in. Now I feel like it just skims a story. So I’m left wondering should I stay clear of abridged books in general or just except that my 11 year brain wasn’t that deep. It’s probably great for kiddos
