About this listen

The future lies within our minds.

Paralyzed in a workplace accident, Lox's life is looking bleak. He can't even use the cutting-edge hardware that would allow him to play in the full-immersion-games that have become so popular. This all changes when he hears from New Universal Frontiers, the company with the best game out there: World of Magic.

They offer him the ability to use their hardware despite his injuries, but at a cost...he can never leave the game.

Once in the game world, Lox quickly realizes that there is a lot more to this new realm than just a game. Given a class that everyone thinks is useless due its inherent dangers, Lox begins a long and painful series of trials, some of them explosive, almost all of them dangerous as he masters his magical abilities.

As Lox explores the depths of this world's magic system, he soon discovers there is a lot more going on here than anyone ever expected.

World of Magic is a LitRPG/GameLit series that features leveling, advanced magic systems, dungeon crawling, world exploration, and much more. It's perfect for fans of books like Emerilia, World Tree, and Ascend Online.

magical engineeeing at its best

The storytelling and story arch of the characters is well proportioned.
The idea of magical engineering was interesting as I also am an engineer.
Can't wait to see what troubles lay ahead.

Great start to a series

A interesting world with a complex but intriguing magic system that left me a gasp in wonder.
I had no expectations going into this audiobook thinking that the description seemed boring but to my surprise it was amazing and will immediately but the next one in the series.

The end of the story as the pain ended

It was almost predictable what comes next. Wjikebth actual elements might differ, it felt the story was scripted. Somehow the narration felt lifeless abs didn't aid the story. Overall, I found myself having to phase the audio and come back at a later time. When I did sit for longer than 5 minutes, I found myself distracted. At the end of the audio, I don't think I recall anything about the story and sadly, felt glad that it was over

I hate when

I hate when they keep repeating stats multiple times during a short time. Cap 28-29 the stats is repeated 3-4 times and it takes more less 4 mins to get through every time. But beside that it is okay.

Just not my cup

There are many repetitions, it's frustrating.
The MC is op and he seems to be in luck all time, finding hiden dungeons or legendary weapons.
I believe there was a part where his party found "cat eye glasses" which were never used, even tho they struggled with visibility due to darkness quite few times.
