Pulled me right in!

Talk about exciting and suspenseful! Candle Sutton continues her Shadows series and from the very first chapter had the suspense building! Britt Wolf is the lead singer for his rock band. He has had a sorted past but has found religion now and is on a mission to spread the word. While his audience is vast, his bandmates and manager are not too keen on the new path this lead singer has taken. Plus there seems to be a stalker following him, and the danger is increasing at every stop on the concert tour. Malachai, who we met in the first book is being called to help Britt, but is not always accessible. He has his own mission and goes where he is needed most. Special Agent Dalton is on the case and wants to bring in Malachai but lacks a true reason to do so, making it difficult for him to follow the orders he has been given. Where does it all end? This is one story that kept me guessing the entire time. Just when I thought I knew who was behind the Shadows, i was led down another avenue, and even at the end of the book, I was still contemplating the answer. This is a series that keeps me wanting to know more. Sutton has me invested in the outcome and I can’t wait to see where she takes us.

Brittany Goodwin continues her amazing narration of this series. She zooms into each character, finds their personality and matches a voice to it that is spot on. As she builds the suspense, I am there with her, heart racing and mind wondering. She is the perfect fit for this series.
