Summary

When the mixed-reality of the Autonoma Resort collapses, Alex plummets into the depths of lies, cover-ups, and corporate manslaughter. With little brother Michael’s life on the line, can Alex overcome the demands of the machines or has their fate already been decided?

As H.E.N.R.I, an unreliable hoverbot, leads the way, it’s clear there’s more to contend with than dubious technology and rogue bots. With the foundations of a megacorporation blown open, there’s nowhere to hide from an unsettling past or the nagging feeling of déjà vu.

Keeping up with Michael is a challenge as he bounds into the wonderland of rides and experiences offered in the mix of real surfaces, augmented reality and a world of mystery all played out in his visor. Keeping him alive will depend on Alex.

Everything is an illusion, and H.E.N.R.I isn’t giving away any of Autonoma’s secrets. It’s up to Alex to uncover the true meaning of its existence and the real reason for the machines hidden beneath the surface.

Unable to shake the feeling of distrust, will Alex choose to fight Autonoma’s systems or obey the commands of an unidentified user in the system? Whatever the choice - their lives will never be the same again.

Prepare for the ride of your life.

Not Bad

Give it ago.
I'll be honest I moaned to my wife about how much I wasn't feeling this but I wanted to try a random new book and I'd already bought this - not audible credit. I got to chapter 4 and was like okay.

To start off with this is basic litteracy the story is basic the writting is basic. Theres no real depth to the characters or any real description to the characters or scenery. I feel its wired that this is called cyberpunk when theres nothing hinting at the world. ITS SCI FI end of. And it was wierd that this was like half audio drama half actual reading..

BUT...
Come chapter 5 onwards its actually enjoyable. I found it interesting enough to keep going and I'm glad I gave it a go cz although I figured out how it was going to end I figured it out around chapter 28. Some books you can see it coming but I was pleasently surprised. And yeh I found myself really enjoying it in the end.
I wanted to give it 4stars I really did but even though its YA its still basic so much I cant justify more than 3.
iT is enjoyable. Give it ago. if nothing better to do.
