thought provoking

I foumd it better to listen when not doing much else, multitasking was difficult due to the tone of the speaker. Thought provoking concepts discussed.

Fabulous

A wonderful book in so many ways, and an absolutely magnificent narration by Michael Kramer.

Not for the fainthearted

I have listened to this on numerous occasions and it never fails to nourish my soul. Tozer is like a targeted laser beam that hits it's mark with absolute precision. There are the occasional blips in his use of terminology and phraseology that might cause minor offence, but he is a man of his time and as such is less subject to our politically correct sensibilities... but this should not put you off. The book is broken up under different headings including God's Imminence, Holiness, Goodness. He talks about the loss of our ability to perceive the majesty of God. There is so much to challenge our comfortable versions of Christianity and as such if you want an easy listen this is not for you, but if you are searching for the things that are deeper then I would suggest that you will find much to meditate and ponder upon.
I have the physical books that benefit from a study guide at the back which for obvious reasons are not present in this audible title.
A word about the narrator: he reads well, intonation is at an acceptable level, my husband doesn't care for his voice, but this is purely subjective.
I do recommend this title along with book 2 which I am now going to revisit. Some titles are only good for one listen.. not so this, it is likely you would revisit again and again.
