About this listen
A horrifying secret rises in the aftermath of an archangelic war in New York Times best-selling author Nalini Singh's deadly and beautiful Guild Hunter world....
The Archangel of Death and the Archangel of Disease may be gone but their legacy of evil lives on - especially in Africa, where the shambling, rotting creatures called the reborn have gained a glimmer of vicious intelligence.
It is up to Titus, archangel of this vast continent, to stop the reborn from spreading across the world. Titus can't do it alone, but of the surviving powerful angels and archangels, large numbers are wounded, while the rest are fighting a surge of murderous vampires.
There is no one left...but the Hummingbird. Old, powerful, her mind long a broken kaleidoscope. Now she must stand at Titus's side against a tide of death, upon a discovery more chilling than any other. For the Archangel of Disease has left them one last terrible gift....

Loved this book!
Really enjoyed listening to this book. Have also read it. Love this entire series. The characters have real depth and interesting back stories. There is none of this "he asks, she can't tell him" that goes on in a lot of books. The plots aren't obvious and Ms Singh has a way of drawing you in and immersing you in it. Her descriptive ability let's you know what is going on, but she doesn't waffle on so you loose the suspense of the scene. Very hard to put down. Will definitely be reading and listening to this series again and again.

Loved it!
This has to be one of my favourite books in the series. Sharine at full strength is a joy to behold and Titus has been one of my favourite characters since his introduction. Seeing them butt heads in the beginning and underestimating each other then that turning into grudging acknowledgement of one anothers skills and virtues makes a great romance.

Thank you for once again making me smile so much Nalini. Sharine and Titus.. what a pair! They balance eachother out so perfectly and I did laugh.. all of these characters constantly give something special to me each time I listen to them or read them. Thank you ❤️🧚🏾♀️

I’m a fan but ......
I have totally enjoyed all of this series and was looking forward to this book . BUT I found it a bit slow , nothing really happens compared with the earlier books - ok there is the Romance that I was expecting- that was about par for the course - but the rest was a bit - well tedious really ...” let’s go kill more undead “
Will I return it ? No because I have enjoyed earlier books . Will I buy another ? Yes totally hoping that the next ( if there is another ) will be more interesting
Justine Eyres narration is excellent as usual .

I love it.
I really enjoyed listening to the book. It looped me in and kept my attention. I really liked how Hummingbird was not portrayed as a broken maiden needing a hero.
