About this listen
Has our Jersey Girl finally bitten off more than she can chew?
Crime reporter Colleen Caruso has an appetite for romance...and trouble. When someone tries to poison Ken Rhodes (her handsome boss and boyfriend), Colleen vows to hunt down the culprit and serve them up to the police. She’s whisked away into the scrumptious world of restaurants and gourmet food as she tangles with four culinary divas from Ken’s past.
Trouble is, Colleen doesn’t know when to turn down the heat.
Is this Jersey Girl’s investigation a recipe for disaster?
Or will the poisoner get their just desserts?

Another Meandering Tale.
I was given a free copy of this title in exchange for an honest review. Following on from the previous tale “Neither Hide Nor Hair”, we pick up with our “intrepid investigative reporter” as she endeavours to find out who tried to poison her boyfriend.
It stops being interesting from this point. Meandering is the best thing that I can say about it: There is no newspaper reporting, no bonding relationship, no interaction with her children (a BIG Deduction Point there)! And, no linked scenes. A big disappointment for me.
The narrator was good, but the characters did not build on the potential for development and both the “clues” and the resolution was very poorly executed.
I personally would not relish spending a credit on this - I would have felt cheated.

Brilliant, funny mystery
When Colleen's boss/ boyfreind is posiond at a works night out. Colleen is determined to find out who did it and if they also killied his wife. There are plenty of suspects to choose from. Colleen is a woman on a mission and with the help of family and friends she will not be stopped. This is a great listen with plenty of humor. the narration is excellent.

Another good book
I enjoyed this book. This is book three in this fun series and I have enjoyed them all. There is a lot going on with big birthdays, home life drama and a cold case to solve, all of which kept the story interesting and the listener engaged. I had guessed the killer, despite the number of suspects and I want to say it was from the clues the author gave but I think it was more because nobody suspected her or him. I just enjoyed the story. The characters are a big reason for that. Colleen is a great main character, a capable and likeable woman raising two children, a reporter for the local paper who just so happens to be dating the boss and solves a cold case while doing it all. Looking forward to the next mystery.
While out for a work celebratory meal Ken Rhodes, the boss and Colleen's boyfriend collapses after taking his first bite. Her quick reactions save his life and they are quick to establish he was poisoned. His wife who he was accused of killing also died from poison, acquiescence? Colleen doesn't think so despite the different poisons involved. She starts looking into Ken past, in particular his wife's running friends. Could one of them have tried to kill him too? All have become successful in the catering business but could one of them have been at the party that night and it so why? It all comes down to means, motive and opportunity. Which Colleen will have to figure out before the would be killer strikes again.
I liked the narrator. She makes the listening experience fun.
