Thoroughly enjoyed.

This is direct and to the point. I enjoyed this podcast immensely. Although, only a quick piece it was light, clear and upbeat.

First-rate introduction

Beautifully narrated by David Tomson. Samuel Johnson remains a giant of 18th century English literature, a character larger than life who was at the top of his game in the literary world he helped shape. His impact and legacy live on until this day thanks to the unlikely friendship he struck up with James Boswell who committed their conversations and journeys to memory and which were later put down in writing in what is still hailed as one of the best biographies of all time.
