About this listen

Abandoned by his god and chained in the bilge of Iremaire’s war galley, Khraen has lost everything. His only friend is dead, his undead wife beheaded and thrown into the ocean. In an act of true self-destruction, a shard of Khraen’s heart stalks the islands destroying the others. His sword calls him home to PalTaq, where it all began. Only there can Khraen find an end to sorrow.

A bloody epic conclusion.

A deliciously beautiful, brilliant blood drenched conclusion to The Obsidian Path trilogy, Michael R Fletcher has delivered a series and a character (Khraen) that will live long in my memory for a long time to come. If you have read other Michael R Fletcher books you will know what to expect, great characters that are hell bent and twisted, insane and delusional plots, dark and bloody epic action with monstrosities born of absolute nightmares. His worldbuilding and prose are just exquisite, the characters are excellent and one of my favourites was Brenwick, Khraen's best freind who brings comical scenes to a very dark and unique story. In An End To Sorrow, the main protagonist mission is to find his shattered heart and to do that he must take on himself literally. Wizards will do anything and what it takes to stop Emperor Khraen coming back into power. The twist and turns will leave you in awe. That ending and let me tell you what a cracking ending it was, I think Khraen will be back at sometime in the future. If you love zombie Dragons, gorillas with human heads, Necromancers and your Grimdark at its grisly finest, look no further than this gem of a series. I highly and truly recommend...🔥🖤💀😁
