About this listen
In this explosive account of wrongful acts and ongoing cover-ups, Jesse Ventura takes a systematic look at the wide gap between what the American government knows and what it reveals to the American people.
For too long, we the people have sat by and let politicians and bureaucrats from both parties obfuscate and lie. And according to this former Navy SEAL, former pro wrestler, and former Minnesota governor, the media is complicit in these acts of deception. For too long, the mainstream press has refused to consider alternate possibilities and to ask the tough questions. Here, Ventura looks closely at the theories that have been presented over the years and separates the fact from the fiction.
In Ventura's eyes, the murder of Abraham Lincoln and the assassinations of the Kennedys and Martin Luther King all need to be reexamined. Was Watergate presented honestly, or was the CIA involved? Did the Republican Party set out to purposefully steal two elections on behalf of George W. Bush? Has all the evidence been presented about the 9/11 attacks, or is there another angle that the media is afraid to explore? And finally, is the collapse of today's financial order and the bailout plan by the Federal Reserve the widest-reaching conspiracy ever perpetrated?

Ideal Introduction
Along with all his other talents Ventura is a skilled researcher and writer who has written in this book a cogent and easily assimilated introduction to a series of events in US modern history popularly known as government conspiracies. The term conspiracy theory is a fairly recent one and seems to have been invented by the media with a view to discrediting those who don't believe the line being communicated by government channels and the corporate commercial media. Hence the alternative name Truth Movement. In any case, Ventura avoids the crazy side of the conspiracy world, instead concentrating on key post WW2 events that have shaped US history and for which official explanations are tenuous at best. So there are the assassination of JFK, Robert Kennedy, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X. Also the Watergate Scandal and the events of September 2001. If you consider yourself to be fair minded and want to better understand what is really going on in America then this book is an ideal place to start. Well read by George Wilson though for some reason I thought that the book had been read by Ventura himself.

Jesse
Crazy that the stuff he wrote in 2015 has now came to fruition. Up to the reader if they believe him or not.

Fascinating
As a UK citizen I found this book enlightening and credible. The USA has fallen a long way in the last 50 years and looks like it is still digging

Did what it said on the tin!
Lots of food for thought ,well read and compelling! An indictment of sheeplike humanity as much as it is an expose of governmental excessive control!

Loved this. I admire jesse ventura. He says what he thinks and if yoi dont like it he is not bothered.
Some of the theories are sceptical but some really makes you think. Vary scary if true. Specially the MK Ultra mind control bit.
