Summary

It’s the 80’s, London, the Thatcher years.

Ambrose Palmer, an aspiring actor, journeys through the circles of hell of a brutal industry. We follow him, his lovers, and a small clan of novice performers as they weather the storms of the acting profession. But behind the sex and hilarity lurks the desperation of Thatcher’s England.

In three parts.

Part 1: Melissa

1982, Ambrose at a London drama school. Here we are introduced to Melissa, Ambrose’s girlfriend, and the gifted Shirley, as well as a small group of acting students whose fortunes we follow throughout.
