Summary
There are 1.371 million animal species on Earth, each with their own quirky characteristics. Keep listening to learn some bonkers and hysterical facts about a few of them!
- Like the time my friend's hearing aid was stolen by a kookaburra
- Or the bizarre courting rituals of echidnas
- Or that cockroaches can survive without their heads
- Or that platypuses glow in the dark!
People won't protect things they don't love. People won't love things they don't know. Here's your kid's chance (and your chance, too) to get to know some awesome, amazing, and amusing animals! In this audiobook, you'll also discover:
- Which animals have technicolor bodies
- Which insects have been known to engage in mutiny
- Which animals are the most dedicated parents
- Which population of insects weigh more than humans!
I'm Mary Beth (aka, aReluctantMom.com), a wildlife biologist who has spent years working on wildlife conservation issues both as a field biologist and as a lobbyist in Washington, DC.
In the field, I implemented conservation projects for birds and marine animals; in DC, I fought to pass natural resource conservation legislation and distributed millions in funding for fish and wildlife conservation programs.
In short, I love animals and was reluctant to leave my work behind for maternity leave.
But now that I'm a mom, I'm trying to instill that same love of animals in my kiddo. It fills my heart to see him try to move turtles out of the road, rescue jellyfish on the beach, and save moths that get into the house.
The world around us is fascinating, as is the wildlife in it. My goal is to inspire a love and respect for this planet that'll make the next generation socially and environmentally conscious and motivate them to protect the earth, its inhabitants, and its resources. Download this audiobook now to join the movement, and get a laugh in the process! Enjoy!

Great Trivia Audiobook
I listened to this audiobook in one sitting and was totally mesmerised. The book is so great that I got my wife and kids to listen to it too (and then I listened again!) So many cool facts that I discovered, including that a cockroach can breathe without it's head and that dolphins can sleep with one eye open! The book is an amazing insightful audio journey, broken down into various sections to make it easy to go back to listen about specific animals. Super audiobook for the family, and even for a road trip. Highly recommend.

WOW!
Some of these animal facts absolutely blew my mind!! over 3.5 hours of pure fun for both me and the kids. We put it on every morning on the way to school and it certainly made the car journeys fun. They're now onto round 2 and are listening through it again. Great narration by Hilary Buuck!

Great Gift for Grandparents
I never realized how many animals I wasn't familiar with. This is a great gift for yourself if you have grandkids. They can color and you can learn and discuss the animals together. Very cool little find. Well done.

"World around wildlife."
There are about 1.371 species of animal on earth. But when we learn about animals in our childhood, our educational system only limits our knowledge to some common animals. Although researchers spend their whole lives providing us with information about different species to enhance our knowledge.
Here, the writer, who is also a wildlife biologist, gives every detailed examination about animals so that you and your child can bear information.

SO much fun to listen to with your kid
Loved this A-Z book with animal facts. As a child, I remember so much of what I listened to as learning information. I would definitely pick this up for your kid, whether or not you're homeschooling. This is highly engaging, interesting and full of facts you never learned yourself (as a listening adult). The narrator does a great job and there's a PDF that comes with that you can view as you're listening, which is great to combine with audio learning.

I absolutely loved listening to this book !
I had the most enjoyable time listening to this book. I have always loved animals, but this book is amazing and very entertaining. It shows you so many interesting and unlikely things, of so many different animals. My new favorite is the Nudibranch, which unfortunately became know as the sea slug. This creature is so much better than that name, one of the most beautiful, and creatively unique little beings there is. I don't want to spoil it for you. This book is so entertaining and informative I loved it.
