About this listen
The bodyguards of Elite Guardians Agency have more than just skill and prowess in common; they're also all women.
When it becomes clear that popular psychiatrist and radio personality Wade Savage has a stalker, his father secretly hires Elite Guardians in order to protect his son. But when Wade's bodyguard is attacked and nearly killed, agency owner Olivia Edwards must step in and fill the gap.
Olivia's skills are about to be tested to the limit as Wade's stalker moves from leaving innocent gifts at his door to threatening those closest to him. Olivia has the feeling that she's next on the list. And to complicate things even further, she realizes that her heart may be in as much danger as her client.

Only finished it because it was free
The story had potential but there was just too much ‘god’ stuff in it, it spoilt the book immensely. Not one I would recommend

Good story nice ending
Lynette Eason has a definite knack to build up storylines. Despite guessing the culprits half way through I was still not sure until the end as other suspects became possible as longer the actions lasted. Wade was a bit clueless for a psychiatrist but I reckon they are as blind as anybody if it’s people near to them. Who wants or should profile all family and friends. Good that super daughter saved the day and all law enforcement past present and future are up to scratch. I’m always wary about Christian romance as sometimes the sparks are not flying as should be natural but the author has a good hand in setting up a realistic scenario of love and emotions growing. I don’t understand the complaints about too much god in the story either. If you choose a book under the header Christian romance you should know that the main players have a relationship with god and some church connection. And I’m sure some very realistic and tense suspense thrillers can do with a bit of hope and peace, empathy and compassion. I’m looking really forward to the other books of the series.

poorly researched
predictable plot, easily anticipated storyline. As mentioned above, story was made even less credible by preaching. Particularly bad example was advice given by the male protagonist to his daughter to rely on God rather than using evidence based strategies , clinically proven to effectively treat anxiety. As a psychotherapist, I was disappointed that this outdated view of minor mental illness such as anxiety isn't treatable and has to be endured. I persisted with listening as, you can't take life too seriously, but couldn't get much further as the stupidity of the protagonists' decisions got on my nerves.

Good story spoiled by God
Lovely drama, great story twists. Sadly spoiled by preaching throughout. Pity to see strong Olivia made weak by a male protagonist who thinks he knows it all despite being a psychiatrist who should understand the warning sign and consistently puts himself and his daughter and bodyguards at risk. The father character is given very little credit for saving his son by hiring bodyguards to protect him. The daughter is completely spoiled and self centered despite her so called Christian upbringing this causing her father to be captured and her own capture but is lauded for her bravery. Olivia is forced to bare her souls and is forced to realize how wonderful god is because he made her an orphan, she is almost murdered by a psychotic foster brother who is t punished and then has to stand by while her best best ignores everyone’s advice to go out in public and is brutally, albeit accidentally, murdered by her loving fans but she really wants Olivia to love god and go and put her life at risk saving other people who are just as self centered as she was. Yes, I can definitely see gods hand in all of this. The performance was a bit stilted but a good attempt. It was sometimes hard to work out which was the male voices. And occasionally the adult females sounded like the young girl. Pity.
