About this listen

Gripping adventure, brilliant inventions, snarky humor, and fairy tales made real! Welcome to book 1 of The Yellow Hoods, the seemingly innocent beginning of this clean young adult series that's great for kids and adults alike.

Meet up with Tee, Elly, and Richy as their peaceful little world is shattered when they become entangled in a plot to steal the world's first steam engine plans from master inventor, Nikolas Klaus. Will Klaus' ties to the secret society known as the Tub (led by a butcher, baker, and candlestick maker) be their undoing? Or will they live on to become legends?

Here are some of the amazing fairy tales, nursery rhymes, and classic stories woven into the fabric of The Yellow Hoods series: Little Red Riding Hood, Three Little Pigs, Santa Claus, Hansel and Gretel, Rumplestilskin, Beauty and the Beast, Humpty Dumpty, Chicken Little, Alice in Wonderland, Simple Simon, and Rub-a-dub-dub. You'll discover secret societies, snide villains, and heroic changes of heart.

Action packed adventure! While a lot of the story is told from the perspective of a spunky (but naive) twelve-year-old girl, there are numerous hints to a far reaching conspiracy that implies there are much bigger things to come for our band of young yellow hoods. I look forward to reading the next one.

Very Enjoyable!

This is a great story that kept me listening until the end in one complete session.

The characters are believable and entertaining and the story just keeps on going taking you with it all the way. Great heroes and dastardly villains I’d recommend this book to anyone who likes adventure stories.
