About this listen
Determined to escape the matchmaking skills of London society, Alasdair Cynster - better known as Lucifer - heads for the English countryside. But his flight from London leads him straight to Phyllida Tallent, a beautiful, strong-willed young woman who is as equally determined as he is to remain unmarried.

Sensuality done right
I really did not know what to expect and I was happily surprised with its story and the author storytelling. Loved it

Good story, stupid heroine.
The hero and heroine are based on the same lines as most of her books. Powerful dominating male, independent strong minded woman. Except this one is stupid, knowing she has a killed after her, she does everything in her power to get killed. All in the name of her independents. I found it extremely frustrating and thankfully most women are not so conceited. However her stupidity kept the story going and brought in other characters
The narrator is good at the "double entendre", which is important is a book like this.

Spellbinding storyline
This was by far the best of the Bar Cynster books, with a clear, well thought out storyline. Didn’t guess the villain till the end and no pointless hookups. Intimate scenes still overly dramatic and lengthy but I now know to skip the selling breasts and “evocative touches”.
