About this listen
A car lies crashed below a Welsh mountain road. One of the young women inside it is dead, the other badly injured with no memory of who she is or what just happened. All she has is a bus pass showing her photograph and a name she doesn't recognize.
As she struggles to recover from her injuries, a startling revelation shatters everything she thought she knew, forcing her into an uneasy alliance with Detective Bronwen Pryce. With danger closing in from all sides, the two women must work together to uncover the truth - even if it kills them.

Brilliant 💯
This is so cleverly written that I was on the edge of my seat and saying "OH NO"! I was totally hooked and couldn't stop listening.
The narration was excellent and made this story live and the characters shine.
Such a great story and narration that I absolutely recommend this. 👌

Another great plot from Cari Hunter
Another great story from Cari Hunter, I never tire of her books. Also lovely narration as always by Nicola Victoria Vincent, even her welsh accent rang true. Would highly recommend this book, especially if you're into crime novels, it has a good plot and good pacing. Mind Cari does put her characters through the mill!! So expect a little bit of violence, but not too much to detract from the story! I always think of Cari's books as crime novels with a little smidgen of romance thrown in to add to the story and counteract the tension.

Superb!
Another incredible book from this brilliant author. Couldn't stop listening. Drama at its best and the narrator does a fantastic job with the Welsh accent and place names. Highly recommended.

Brilliant story wonderfully read
I’ve become a big fan of Cari Hunter’s storytelling and writing style. She’s become my favourite crime writer. I also love Nicola Vincent’s perfect narration, so I was eagerly waiting for this to come out on audible.
It lived up to all my hopes! Another properly good story with a real feel of authenticity and lovely touches in the prose. Refreshing free of cliché or plot contrivances and real humour that had me chuckling along with main character. Can’t wait for the next one!

A Real Page Turner
I I have read all of this author's books and I've also got her audible books. what happens when you wake up with no memory and and in a strange country, this country being Wales. this is how to book start and Cari put all the parts together with the help of DS price and various other characters along the way.
The narrator was excellent but sometimes I think she forgot the Story had moved to Manchester si sometimes a character with a broad Manchester accent would turn out Welsh. This did not ruin the story in fact it gave me a little smile. Carry on the good work.

Twisty tale braided with romance
The plot is plausible and well developed and paced. The readers have good Manchester and Welsh accents for the main characters.. The romance blossoms at a steady slow burn.
I thoroughly enjoyed the listen

Another great book from Cari
'Another great book from Cari.
The plot is fast paced and grabs your attention from the first page.
The characters are believable and real.
As expected from Cari the book is filled with humour and some brilliantly funny observations – the whiteboard and photos and trying to put a USB in a computer had me laughing out loud.
Cari has a unique way of writing, she portrays a story in a no holds barred, no nonsense way.
A thoroughly brilliant enjoyable book.
It would be re-miss of me not to mention the outstanding narration by Nicola Victoria Vincent, it’s almost as if Cari has written this book with Nicola in mind as the narrator'.

Really hoping for a series!
Well I loved this book. It's a great crime romp, but also it's a bit different.
I'm Welsh and love North Wales so the whole setting really helped to make the book flow for me. I get how unforgiving the place is and how breathtakingly beautiful it can be too.
Loved the main characters and the plot premise. All made for a really addictive and enjoyable escape.
