About this listen
The cause of Alexander the Great's sudden death is no longer in doubt - it was murder. But by whom? As his former followers struggle for power, the bonds of family, friendship and political loyalties are tested to the limit. As is the strength of the formidable empire that Alexander had wrought.
Never before has the Western world seen such turmoil, such a threat to civilisation. As battles rage, armies, cities and thousands of lives are destroyed by the ruthless scheming of those who would be king. Or queen. Could a marriage be the one thing to bring the broken strands of the empire back together, preventing years of further warfare? Will a woman succeed where no man can?

Need an all out war? I Noah guy
An Empty Throne was a massive thrill-ride. If you like ancient history and people being stomped to death by elephants, this book is for you!
With ⚔️ Alexander the Great and his general Antipater gone, we revel in the☠️chaos of Antigonus and Eumenes, two generals now waging a prolonged military campaign. They employ deceits to outsmart each other such as when Eumenes' sets fires at night to over-inflate his ranks.
Another ploy is when Antigonus decides to rake the battlefield, whereby both armies charging billow up a massive dust cloud... none can see except Antigonus who knows where his enemy is coming from and captures many prisoners of war. Battles like this were written with 😎panache.
There's no doubt that the author combines thriller with strong militaristic detail to create an excellent account of historical fiction that can appeal to a wide audience. He's also not afraid to pull out details of the vulgar and salacious when needed.
"The slipperiest little bitch to slide out of a cunt" is by far the greatest thing I've ever heard read aloud by Peter Kenny. I loved all his voice work. My one issue with this audiobook was understanding the new character names, which I felt were spoken too fast throughout. 📚4/5⭐️#BookReview
