About this listen

He was only 10 years old when he aimed his first gun. Who would have known that the journey he chose to embark on, would have walked him directly into the mesial of one of Birmingham's most notorious gangs, The Badda Bar Crew.

Tanayah Sam, although experiencing a fun-filled childhood playing football and being heavily invested into music, the undeniable love from the crew kept him grounded in the streets. He lived a chaotic life of crime and violence, which soon came knocking with the sound of a gavel.

He wanted out of the lifestyle and after finding faith in Islam and spending many nights in prison praying to Allah, it seemed an easy ride. Until he was faced with hardship, when he bumped into a rivalry member of the Johnson's Crew on the day he was released from prison.

But the enemy were more than one...the feds were after him too.

A good that kept my attention and taught me.

A good book that opened my eyes to modern gang culture with a well articulated personal account of a difficult journey through and out of this lifestyle.
