Summary
She owns the team. He owns her heart. Can a first love turn into a second chance?
Watch out, Sean! Your manwhore days are numbered.
Sean McBride is the bad boy/manwhore of the Seattle Knights football team. And he is happy to embrace the title. He's young. Rich. Handsome. And he's one of the best wide receivers in the game. Why shouldn't he take advantage of all the perks? Women throw themselves at him. Wouldn't it be rude not to catch them?
Riley Preston loves the game of football. The Knights are the most important thing in her life. Besides Sean. Riley has loved Sean since she was 17, but he's always seen her as nothing more than a little sister. Finally, Riley is all grown up and she won't settle for a little fun. She wants everything. Especially Sean's heart.
Outside forces are trying to derail them and the team. Time to grow up. Because, together, nothing can stop them.

After All These Years
This was a sweet second chance love story with an interesting storyline and likable characters. Riley goes from a young and innocent teenager to a confident woman who knows how to get what she wants. Sean is a sexy football player who isn't going to know what hit him. It's an enjoyable story, and I'm looking forward to checking out the rest of the series. Lacy Laurel does a great job bringing this story to life.

Feel good sports book
There’s not too much sports references in this book that you need to understand to keep up luckily as I know nothing! It’s a lovely storyline of young love put on hold for the age gap to be more acceptable. Great characters with a brilliant heartfelt performance from Lacy.

Pleasantly surprised
I am pleasantly surprised by this story. I started listening with an open mind thinking it was not for me. Well it was a good, second chance romance with characters that were developed and relatable. Lacy did a terrific job telling their story and bringing the characters to life. She kept me interested and I would definitely listen to her tell a story again.

Sean & Riley
Second chances. We don't always get them, but when Riley takes over the management of Seattle Knights, she has her old crush Sean as one of the players. This man is the one we all love, good looking, rich, and woman. Does he notice that Riley is there? Yes!!! But can she trust that he is in it for the long haul? There are a few twists and turns in this book that I loved. It has such wonderful characters and the romance is delicious! A little slow burn, a lot of building heat and a plan that could through a wrench not only in their love life, but the life of the team! This is my first listen of Mary J Williams and I love her style! Definitely will be watching for more of this team's future!
Lacy Laurel is amazing with sports narrations. She just gets it. The teammates, the competitive value, the chaos that is caused and she pulls it all in giving each character the perfect voice and personality. She nails each one, from Sean and Riley to the wives and players, especially the quarterback! An enjoyable book and wonderful narration.
