About this listen
The lovers will reawaken.
Augustus Labienus Triarius has finally gained his own ship amongst his family’s pirate fleet. The man with one blue eye, one brown is ready for the war against an old foe. But he’s inexplicably drawn to the kingdom of Perean, called by visions of the woman with one brown eye and one blue.
Selene Marinea has grown accustomed to life as Princess Alexandra’s handmaiden and whipping dog. The girl with mismatched eyes has no illusions of escape from Perean. King Orestis Vidalatos has owned her since birth, and what he owns, he keeps. Until the day the castle’s most guarded prisoner turns to Selene for help.
The true heir will be revealed.
After decades in captivity and broken to the point of disfigurement, the true and assumed-dead king of Perean makes two requests of Selene: find the one for whom she was prophesied, and together, find the child he safely hid. But King Orestis has no intention of giving up his throne. Nor will he allow Selene to escape and locate the heir no one has ever found. He knows the prophecy well, and once he has her mate in hand, he can finally drop them both into the fires of the Ethereal Mountain. Gods will or not, he will end the Lovers' threat to find the heir and put him or her in their rightful place on the throne.
Fate won’t be undone.
Augustus and Selene are swept into a dangerous adventure through monster-filled seas and across treacherous lands. All the while discovering why fate brought them together, and who they’ve been to each other in multiple reincarnations. Most of all, why a prophecy deems them responsible for returning the rightful king on threat of never seeing their twenty-first year. If King Orestis has his way, they won’t see another life at all.

So full of action!
If you’re looking for pirates, political unrest, dastardly Kings, an evil princess, gods, magic and prophecies, then this book has you covered. High plot, very little spice. There are a lot of characters to gets to grips with, so it took me until about chapter 8 to really get into it, but then I was hooked. You do need to pay attention while listening as there is so much going on with so many character! Blink and you could miss something! Chapter 48 broke my heart, but then chapter 52 was where some spice hit and my heart started beating again! Fabulous and action packed.
