Indoctrinated reactionsim
Eckhart Tolle's methods of mind training work, at the very least for me. He has not tried in any way to lead the listener into any new or established religions or societies. Although he makes reference to Buddhism, it is genrally to make a point or introduce a simile. This piece of work by Abanes offers the reader/listener nothing at all. It is simply an outlet for Abanes to vent his poison towards a gentle and supportive spiritual teacher. Don't buy this book,do as Susan said in another review and buy Eckharts work. He will offer you methods to gain inner peace without any hidden agenda, which I cannot say for ANY established religion associated with a deity. Eckhart Tolle has changed my life and I am now more productive, contemplative and relaxed. Abanes's work is useless.

Utter rubbish
This book is cynical and narrow minded. It is trying to discredit someone who is gentle, aware and enlightened. You can't criticise someone who is enlightened - it's impossible. My advice is ignore this book and buy Ekhart Tolle's books instead. You'll learn less about boring predictable defensive human nature and more about a new way of thinking that will change the world for the better - your world.

Beaten up biblically. Don't buy it.
Too many chapter references
to the bible, it sounds evangelicallý vengeful. For example my God is going to get you because it says so in this chapter. Poor and agonising to listen too.

a new earth an old deception
This rating method will not allow me the option of zero stars.....I cannot believe Abanes (a Christian) has gone to so much time and effort to discredit another person's perspectives.

More anti-charlatanism please.
The only enlightenment you will receive courtesy of Tolle is the loss of the weight of the money used to purchase his books. Notice the need to purchase, not written for the betterment of mankind but to make money. One can and should criticize those who believe themselves to be spiritually enlightened. Show me one empirically testable or logically consistent argument for the existence of spirit if you would have me accept that you are not simply making things up. More books highlighting the flaws and inconsistencies in illogical belief systems please.
