Four friends have stolen aboard the Titanic. They're after the Rubaiyat - a book inlaid with priceless jewels. Josefa is a charismatic thief, Hinnah a daring acrobat, Violet an outstanding actress and Emilie a talented artist.
It is Josefa's plan, but she needs all of their skills. Despite their very different backgrounds, in a world of first-class passengers and suspicious crew members, the girls must work together to pull off the heist of their lives.
But careless mistakes, old grudges and new romances threaten to jeopardise everything they've worked towards. And with the Titanic sailing ever further north, the girls' chances of survival are a million to one...

Amazing story
This is another great book by Adiba Jaigirdar. it had me twisted up with anxiety as the count down to the heist and the sinking of the Titanic grew closer. I think it captures well how thrilling it was to be on the Titanic and how terrifying it was when it was sinking, the confusion and fear and bravery of the people both passengers and staff of the Titanic was well portrayed may they R.I.P.

An exciting, thrilling yet heartbreaking story!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. This is the first book from Adiba Jaigirdar I've listened to, but it certainly won't be the last. I listened to it in one go, as I was so invested in what would happened to all the girls. It was thrilling. I am a huge fan of sapphic fiction & the Titanic so this was right up my alley.
As an adult, I'm always a bit wary about YA books. However, I was pleasantly surprised with the level of maturity & depth all the characters possessed. The descriptive imagery was great, you feel transported to 1912 & the Titanic. The dynamic between all 4 girls, as a whole, was wonderful to behold. I truly loved how diverse this book was as well. It's very common for stories set in the past to not have any POC, but as Adiba says in the Author's note, there were POC onboard the Titanic that many people forget about, and through this heartbreaking story, Adiba has shed a light on the POC onboard the Titanic. Even if all the main characters are fictional.
The sheer fact the story is set on the Titanic means you know the ending has the possibility to be bleak for all the main characters. However, I truly didn't expect to be as choked up as I was at the end. That is a testament to Adiba's fantastic writing & the narrator's portrayal.
This is also the first book I've listened to anything narrated by Sohm Kapila. Overall, I really enjoyed her portrayal. I do feel like some of the characters voices could have been portrayed more distinctively, but she enhanced the story & portrayed the emotions all the characters were feeling at the time well.
Overall, I would highly recommend this book to all ages. Not only is the story brilliant & the characters 3 dimensional, but it has an important message behind the fiction. It's important to not forget about those who lost their lives in the tragedy of the Titanic & the importance of found families.
