About this listen
Beth became a widow after just two years of marriage. Before her husband's death, they made the decision to freeze an embryo so that she could still have his child. But Beth has just been told that the embryo was implanted in the wrong woman seven years ago. Somewhere in the neighbourhood, her longed-for son is growing up without her. What should she do?
Thought-provoking, emotional and uplifting, this is grown-up women's fiction for fans of Jojo Moyes and Amanda Prowse.

Expressively narrated story
A modern story about families thrust together, with interesting twists and turns, narrated clearly and expressively.

Confusion
It was a great story in the end about human integrity… but up to half way through the book I was confused about the story line.. anthem realised that there were two women with the same first names!!

Lovely story
This is another lovely story by Dani Atkins, though I didn’t feel it pull on my heartstrings as much as previous books have.
What let it down was the poor editing of either the book or the narration. There are many repeated lines which were distracting when listening.

A dilemma no-one would wish for!
Blissful marriages, torn apart by illness and accidents. A choice has to be made, two families are thrown into making choices which impact directly on the other. Would you be as self-sacrificing?
A well written, descriptive piece of writing, which lends itself perfectly for audible.
Thank you Dani Atkins.

Hyperbole, ham acting and editing gaffs
I love to sink into an audio world, but this recording had me fast-forwarding through the endless metaphoric cliches and poor editing (in at least 4 places, sentences are repeated in immediate succession where editing together has been careless). The performance was irritatingly overdone and not helped by recurrent use of words including: ‘ruefully’ and the recurrently mispronounced ’chasm’. The story itself wasn’t original and I found myself willing the main characters simply to say what they were thinking and get on with it. This was wearying and in my turn, I just wanted to get it over with.

Diappointing
The book itself was good. The storyline was different and I could empathise with the awful situation the characters found themselves in. However the narration really let it down. The editing is shocking, repeats sentences in several parts and the narrator has some grammatical errors which are also repeated and very annoying.
