Summary

You thought life was hard? You should try being dead!

There is nothing cake can't solve. Not. One. Thing. Except, perhaps, the escape of a crazy homicidal ex-ward of Bridget Sway's handsome parole officer.

Since Bridget has taken the ex-ward's place in the group home, and in the handsome parole officer's roster, it's likely she's a target for Crazy Katie's homicidal rage.

When the bodies start dropping, what does Bridget do?

Simple. She lets best friend, and ex-PI, Sabrina talk her into a "straightforward" evade-and-capture mission so they can hand the murderer over to the police and life can go back to normal.

Yeah. Because that is a foolproof plan.

Murder and mystery ghost style

I am loving this series. With so many talented authors and books out there, that it is hard to standout or get noticed but this author certainly has found a way. How? By setting the series in the afterlife and have ghosts murdering ghost. Okay I know that sounds strange but it is so unusual and so much fun that it works. I love the characters, especially Bridget, she is a real character, whether she is trying to be nice or her usual sassy self she is a hoot and a great main character who can't stay out of trouble. The mystery was well worked with plenty of and and with so much going on I had no idea who the killer was. Off to start the next book and to find out how Bridget gets on with her new roommates.
Bridget is finally beginning to except her position in the afterlife and realise that she has no say in her life. Especially when it comes to her roommates but when her roommates life is threatened Bridget has no choice but to try and keep them safe. The previous roommate went mad and killed a number of ghosts, as a result she was sent to
Mendall Asylum for rehabilitation. Now she has escaped and Bridget can't help but find the trail of bodies she has left behind. Can Bridget stop the killer before she comes for her roommates?
It took me a while to get use to the narrator because she sounds so English which is unusual but by the time I finished I actually had come to the conclusion she was the right choice for the story. Mostly, not sure she pulled off the Australian accent.
