About this listen

A multiple rapist is on the loose, a woman reports that her baby has been stolen, and someone is trying to blackmail the local supermarket by poisoning some of the stock. When two young girls are reported missing, the Denton crime wave reaches terrifying heights.

As DI Jack Frost staggers exhausted from case to case, something nasty arrives at the station in the form of Detective Chief Inspector Skinner. The scheming, slippery Skinner clearly has his eye on the Superintendent's office, but his first job is to manipulate the transfer of the unorthodox Frost to another division.

Will Frost find the missing girls before his new nemesis forces him away from Denton once and for all?

One of the very best of Frost<br />

As usual David Jason delivers a brilliant narration of this dark and intriguing plot of sinister and mostorous villains . His own career is at risk from within the force but he continues to break all the rules to achieve results . Jasons clear understanding and interpretation of all the characters provides a compelling listen. Amidst the dire and evil events of child rape , murder , pedophilia, blackmail, poisoning and robbery, Wingfield manages to inserts appropriate shots of humour from Frost albeit much to the distaste of his superiors . It will hold your attention from start to finish . In my opinion one if the very best .

Excellent fast paced Thriller

I love the David Jason version of Touch of Frost. The fast paced storyline keeps you interested throughout the reading. I enjoy David Jason reading as he makes every character individual and Frost very likeable despite RG Wingfields character being course and mysogenistic. I would listen again and have downloaded all of David Jasons Frost books.

Abridged

Love the frost books by wingfield.
Pity it was abridged. And that it was badly abridged. A lot that laid down the plot was not included. I suppose you wouldn’t notice if you didn’t read the book.

enjoyable narration by David Jason

I liked this book but then again I usually do like the abridged version of the Frost books. Beware those lovers of our lovable TV Frost the unabridged books Frost is a entirely different character and a repulsive one and that
