Summary

The brilliant romantic comedy from best-selling author Christie Barlow!

One shocking argument and 10-year-old Alice Parker’s world was turned upside down. Her peaceful life at Honeysuckle Farm in the quiet rural village of Brook Bridge swapped for the bustling metropolis of New York City. Alice’s life was changed forever.... Now, 13 years later, Alice’s American dream is over. With her life in tatters, there is only one place Alice wants to be...home at Honeysuckle Farm. So, when Alice learns her beloved Grandie is ill, she knows this is her last chance to heal the family rift. But secrets still swirl in Brook Bridge, and Alice is no closer to discovering the truth. Sick of the lies, Alice knows it’s time to lay the past to rest once and for all. But could the truth ruin her hopes of ever calling Honeysuckle Farm home again?

Awful narrator

I thought the narrator was terrible. I only listened to the story because I liked the storyline. The narrators fake American voices were terrible. It’s a shame that you cannot pick your narrator when you choose to listen to a book.
However it was a lovely storyline and for that reason I enjoyed it.

Pleasantly shocked

A great story, different from other romance books, a bit of suspense that keeps you intrigued. Narration was great. I'm not giving anything away, just a lovely listen

Easy going book

Disappointed in story development and character relationships that appear from no where. Accents were not consistent. But it’s just a gentle story to have on.

Intriguing Storyline

I enjoyed this little tale as it reflected some real family issues yet showed how humanity is willing to forgive and move forward.

Awful voice of the narrator sorry!

Great story ruined by a grating voice!

Best described as being aurally assaulted by a condescending helium filled balloon! Yet when creating the older characters the voice became bearable..just

I persevered as the story was well written with good twists but would have been so much better had it been read by a decent narrator. Such a shame.

Easy listening

A sweet story with a little twist. The characters were not deep enough to grip my imagination.

Nice story crippled by appalling narration

Why oh why use this narrator? Whining silly voices, poorly portrayed and inconsistent accents. However, I enjoyed the story. Nice twist.
