About this listen

The light has ruled for a thousand years. Now it ends.

Max's coworkers treat him like hot garbage, and his manager is a superficial dolt. Unfortunately for him, his fate was sealed before he was even born, and it's way worse than working part-time in a coffee shop.

Confronted out of the blue by a floating demonic eye, Max doesn't take it seriously, because who would? So when the flesh is ripped from his bones and he's hurled, screaming, into a fantastic and terrifying new world, he's a little surprised. When he learns his task is to free the daughter of the god of death who's been chained and tortured for centuries, he is stunned.

Max had better figure things out, and fast. As an unwelcome undead in a world oppressed by the corrupt tyranny of light, there are whole orders pledged to eradicate his kind. To even come close to completing his quest, Max will need cunning, determination, and a whole lot more than one measly hit point.

Bone Knight is a fully complete, best-selling humorous progression/litRPG series inspired by old-school JRPG games fused with a generous helping of dark fantasy like The Witcher, The Sandman, and Full-Metal Alchemist. In this portal fantasy adventure, a part-time barista must navigate a perilous world as a pathetically weak skeleton. Fighting through a vicious penalty to his stats, Max will have to think his way around his many, many problems and find ways to grow against all odds.

Worth a listen, but could be a bit slicker

So I got this as a cemetery (free) code.
The story works, with the main MC transported to another world to save a princess.. just not as the fleshy hero, but a lowly level 0 skeleton.. but it’s not all bad.. being a skeleton comes with endless resurrection and darn does the MC need that. The story is set up well for the rest of the books, with an understanding of the end goal set out as you listen.
I was very interested when I realised that the narrator was the author? I have always wondered why authors haven’t done this before, as they would have the best understanding of how their books should sound. So did it work, yes, although as with everything there is variation with narrators - the narration is clear, easier to understand.
