Great twists and turns
I've had this book in my 'to listen' library for a year now. I'm so glad I finally got to it. I'm a secondary school librarian and this is a book I would recommend to any student who loves solving a mystery. I would even say its a good story for grown ups too.
Narration is great and the twist and turns in the story keep you going right till the end.

Loved this, the audio was brilliant with great audio cues for elements of the plot. Story was engaging and unpredictable - brilliant

Recommended by a friend
This book was recommended by a friend who assured me that despite it being a YA novel, it was worth a read. And boy was she right. This book is full of twists and turns and is so well written. Usually it takes me a while to get through books but this one took days because I couldn’t stop listening. The only issue I had was the performer sometimes making the characters seem a bit younger and childish than they were but that’s just personal preference. Fabulous book, can’t wait to get stuck into the next one!

Good story, put on voices are annoying
To review the story - I really liked it. It's a good story with interesting twists, though potentially a bit predictable.
To review this narration - The main narrator is fine, but I could live without the put on voices. It's quite over acted. If some of the characters were in it any more than they were, it would have made it impossible to listen to, but the sample is a good reflection of the voice on the majority of the book.

Astonishing!
This book popped up on TikTok. It looked interesting to me so I downloaded it, not thinking much of it and randomly started listen to it a few weeks later. I can honestly say I have never found so much time to listen to a book! I was encapsulated in the story! The characters felt so real; like people I grew up with, I felt like I lived in this town. I was desperately trying to find out what happened! So many twists and turns, make it so unpredictable in the best way! I have just found out there are 2 other books in the series and have never downloaded anything with less hesitation! The best book I have ‘read’ for ages! 😍 I can’t wait to read the next 2!

Annoying clicking noise in the background
Great story, fab characters and I enjoyed the performance. The only thing to take away from it was the weird clicking that was so distracting!

Gripping
Fantastic ‘whodunnit’ with a protagonist you root for. Plenty of twists and turns. Modern, relevant and engaging. Kept the whole family gripped for a series of long car journeys- including the teenage girls.

Omg,omg,omg
Right so I love love love love LOVE this book and I can’t say I loved listening to it cause I read the book rather than listened to it. However the plot was twisty the storyline believable I loved it. I have read all the others in the series and have listened to one of them and I loved the performance on that one (killjoy for your information) so I would definitely recommend to a young adult/teen reader who wants a different book that captures crime so amazingly and realistically. Definitely listen to it it is amazing.

Absolutely gripping
Read this on recommendation from a friend, and was completely enthralled. I especially enjoyed the fact that there was no clichés like “main character is a school girl but can also mysteriously hack security systems” or “the key clue is impossibly convenient”.
I did guess one of the twists about half way through, but the second one took me completely by surprise!!
Totally recommend- well narrated, easy listening and a gripping plot.
