About this listen

Welcome to Oxford’s Magic Kitten Shelter for Familiars!

My name’s Astra. I’m single, love familiars, and am also a witch whose demon cat has more magical ability in his paw, than I have in my entire body. When I inherit my great-aunt’s ramshackle mansion in the sleepy village, Witch Hollow, which nestles in Oxford's shadow, I seize the chance to break free from my family. Even if Witch Hollow is the most paranormal village in England...

Now, along with my black kitten, Satan (angel on the outside, devil on the inside), I’ll show everyone that a new witch is in town.

Yet the opening event of my new business to rehome abandoned familiars ends with a witch’s death. When the hot Earl Sin, a dragon shifter and my elite neighbour, turns out to be the supernatural Sheriff of Oxford, how can I prove that I’m innocent and also save my familiars?

Cosy PNR murder mystery

This is a light-hearted PNR murder mystery.
Astra is trying to open an adoption centre for familiars, but before she can get official approval, she has a murder to solve. Satin is Astra's familiar and he is a huge character - spoilt, needy, outspoken.
Next door neighbours Sin, the dragon shifter, is the local sheriff and they all band together to solve the murder.
Astra was very likeable, always seeing the good in people. Sin was a little cranky, but with good reason. Satan was the star of the story!
The narrators did a good job, Irish isn't always my favourite accent but I enjoyed listening to this book.

A Purrfect Cosy Mystery

This audiobook is exactly what I needed to snuggle down and listen to on a cold late-autumn evening. Pairs wonderfully with a nice hot cup of tea!

Satan is incredibly funny, and Astra has a wit as sharp as a knife. The pair made this story so enjoyable for me and the dual narrators did both of them a lot of justice. 10/10!

Brilliant adaptation

This story is BRILLIANT. I love the banter between Astra, Satan and Sin. The characters are fun and engaging. Satan is so full of mischief and sarcasm. This story will make you laugh and give you a greater understanding of cats. I can't wait for the next book in this series. The duel narration is perfect. I love this authors work.
