Summary
The time of the Shadowhawk was gone. Now he needed to be more.
In the space of a night, Cuinn Acondor lost his crown and almost his life. Devastated by Talyn's disappearance, he's on the run, fleeing from Armun and Shadow hunters who want to destroy everything he stands for. But he won't give up. Together with the resurgent Wolves, he begins preparing to take back what Azrilan stole from them.
After killing their Shadow betrayer, Talyn is captured and thrown in a Montagni labor camp. With no way of knowing what happened to Cuinn or her Wolves, she fights desperately to find a way out, to return home to them. Like Cuinn, she refuses to give up, no matter what . . . even if escaping means allying with her greatest enemy.
In the Twin Thrones, the Dumnorix are banding together and marshaling their forces. Firthland has brought war to their shores.
And they intend on fighting back.

love love love!
this is a great series: good story with twists and turns, and many different well written characters. maybe some political discussions are a bit long, but it does help the story moving forward.
I do miss a map for the countries though, I'm sure this is included in the paper book version.
the narrator is also very good, many characters are instantly recognisable by their voice, a real skil!

I'm sad it's over!
What an epic saga, what a cleverly woven and well written tale. I admit when I first started this series I was a little bit sceptical, especially as it took me a while to adjust to the narrator.
Once I got past that, I was hooked.
An excellent and solid end to an amazing journey.

Wonderful series
I got totally lost in this world with these characters. I laughed and I cried. I threw my kindle down in frustration and then went chasing back after it because I needed to know what happened next. lots of twists and turns and stunning revelations.
so well written and original. I've just finished it and I'm already deep in book grief. I want more!
I 100% recommend this series.

Fabulous, intriguing story
I have absolutely loved listening to all four books. The story line has kept my interest, ( at times, too much) and the characters are so multifaceted. Narrator is brilliant. Just excellent. Not sure what to listen to next as have been thoroughly spoilt with this epic tale.

I loved this series
I loved this series. It made me laugh, cry and have all the emotions in between. Although it took me the whole first book to get into the series, I was hooked. The characters where full, the story flowed and although a little predictable at times I was here for the ride and enjoyed every moment.
