About this listen
Some secrets are best left buried.
Jackson Pryde and Xander Wright are happier than ever. The guild of artificers grows stronger thanks to the black market’s masters. The second AI is awakening, closer to divulging its forgotten secrets. And most shocking of all, Jackson has finally invented something worth selling.
But war is brewing in the arcane underground. Madame Catherine Grayhaven does not forgive easily. The grand dame of the elite academy has rallied her students for a vengeful attack on the Verdance, the realm of the fae.
Jackson and Xander join the fight with their own motives: find King Oberon and hold him accountable for his crimes. But what awaits beyond the portal may shatter everything they believe in.
A Clap of Thunder is a 65,000-word M/M urban fantasy romance with an HFN ending. Join a fast-talking artificer and a snarky sorcerer—childhood friends who become bitter enemies, then lovers—as they explore a world filled with strange flora, mythical fauna, and magical murders. If you like your urban fantasy with humor, horror, and a whole lot of heart, you’ve come to the right place. Experience A Clap of Thunder today.

Really getting into the thick of it now!
Zachary Johnson keeps on getting better and better, but so does the story!
I keep saying each installment is my favourite yet and this is no different - action and humour packed, but also great to see some character cross overs from another series!

Thunderous Applause for a Great Book
A Clap of Thunder is the sixth book in the Arcane Hearts series, a paranormal series with action, adventure, and romance. However, this series builds upon each prior book, so you have to read it in order to get the full enjoyment out of it.
Finally! We finally enter the fae realm and uncover more of the secrets behind the crystal shards. I won’t spoil the fun, but wow, the action was incredible with a villain I did NOT see coming. I love how interesting and enthralling the plot line is – there are so many twists and turns that keeps everything interesting.
I love how each book starts off with Jackson doing a new job which introduces us to another part of the Arcane world. Bruna, one of the new characters, has Jackson and Xander helping her out gathering potion ingredients. Of course, shenanigans occur, which is to be expected with Jackson Pryde. I also really enjoyed seeing Nico and Reza’s relationship develop. I really like how Nico has continued to grow – I hope to see more Jackson and Nico collaboration in the future. I am so excited for the Hall of Making to finally be completed. They are so close and it sounds majestic. The worldbuilding is wonderful. Worldbuilding is important to me, so when it is done well with details and depth, I can’t help but become a huge fan. Mix in great characters like Jackson and Xander, and it is no wonder that I have enjoyed every single book in this series.
The audiobook was narrated by Zachary Johnson who does a great job. There’s a lot of action and characters in this book, but he keeps all the characters’ voices clear and distinct. I was able to follow along easily and felt full engrossed in the narration. The audiobook production was well done with a top-notch performance.

I’m really enjoying this series!
As good as the last two (books 4-5). Adventure, action, love, relatable characters, strong friendship and interesting plot.
The narrator also did an amazing job!
