Lee Daley takes listeners on an informative journey to London’s Globe Theatre, which was made famous by William Shakespeare and his company, Lord Chamberlain's Men. She visits with Kitty Grimes, an actress and docent at Shakespeare’s Globe. Grimes has a silvery, dramatic voice, and her knowledge is extensive. The original theater was built in 1599 and burned down in 1613. A second building opened on 1614, and then closed in 1642. The current Globe, opened in 1995, is an exact replica that is located 750 feet from the original site.
