Summary
London, England, 1952.
Meet the mercurial genius Professor Quanderhorn (James Fleet) - a maverick scientist with absolutely no moral compass. Join him and his rag-tag crew on their frontal-lobe-knotting escapades as they:
- Battle insane hybrid creatures: the Gorrirrel and the Squirrilla, to the death!
- Become Gods to a Stone Age tribe.
- Are engulfed in a Martian invasion of Earth.
- Escape shipwreck on the Moon in a spacecraft powered by anger.
- Evade multiple fiendish traps in the Alien Ziggurat of Death.
- Tussle with a Top Secret Parrot.
- Become terminally confused when they encounter their past selves in a Time accident....
Will our crew of Brave Boffins survive?
And what a crew they are: Q's part insect son, Troy, reputedly a 'major breakthrough in Artificial Stupidity' (Freddie Fox); eager young Test Pilot and recovering amnesiac, Brian Nylon (Ryan Sampson); brilliant scientist Dr. Gemini Janussen with her half-clockwork brain (Cassie Layton); captured Martian hostage Guuuurk (Kevin Eldon); sinister janitor Jenkins (John Sessions), and synthetic-voice-commentator-later-inserted-into-diving-suit, Dolores (Rachel Atkins).
Plug in your blue and red cardboard airpods and pair your tin foil router with the Droitwich transmitter array for an adventure beyond human understanding.

Annoying waste of time
What has annoyed me is the almost 4 hours worth of interviews at the end. What a total waste of time. Not what i paid for!

Excellent
Just loved this. Clever, funny, touching, engaging. Wonderfully packaged escapism. I hope more of these get made soon.

Story's are good but excessive cast interviess
I bought this thinking great 9+ hours quanderhorn . very disappointed to find just under 6 hours (first 2 series) of qh and 3.5 hours plus of interviews which are clearly just there for padding . Whilst there are moments in the interviews which are interesting - in the main it could have done with some heavy editing to get rid of perhaps 3 hours worth of verbal diarrhea.

Brilliant
The story is completely mad and can be difficult to keep track. A good number of funny moments, voice actors are fabulous, Kevin Eldon is excellent. If you liked Nebulous/ Eleven Quest you'll like this series also. definitely worth a listen!!

A laugh out loud, excellent radio production.
I absolutely love this. I listen to it at every opportunity. I have trouble sleeping so I usually listen to audio books at night but I can't listen to this one as it makes me laugh so much. There are a load of interviews at the end so just be aware that about half of the show is deleted scenes (so good) and then interviews. Bloody love it.

Great Audiobook but....
having listened to an episode or 2 on radio 4 extra I thought this would be great, and it is.
but feel really let down by the over 4 hours of interviews on the Audiobook getting to in to it and thinking yay another 5 hours to go then hours of the cast talking about it, some of the cast comments are really interesting but could have been done as well in 45 minutes.

Smoke up my arse
I enjoyed once again a bbc radio play but do we really need all the synopsis back slapping and blowing smoke up each other's arses in the last quarter of this 9 hour audible

Just the most splendid thing 😀
They could rename this Gargantua The Massively Effective Comedy Scifi Laughter Inducer 😄
This is the most seriously awesome hilarious thing ever on radio, beautifully cast, pace like the zoom of a rocket, you know a proper Fifties one with Fins 😄
Best moment out of a thousand laugh out loud and marvellously brain twisting moments:
One of the Musical Sheep has it's mind wiped, and moos, but not just any moo, a Moo that would have been Mooed by Noel Coward if he were just Noel Cow, or Noel Mind-Wiped Musical Sheep 😄
Do yourself a favour and listen to this 🙂

couldn't follow along and becomes outakes
wasn't for me, couldn't follow along with it, and becomes weirdly a recording of outtakes and interviews.
