Beautiful
This is a beautiful story. It may not be high literature but it is bursting with heart. I loved recalling Welsh mothers I have known in the figure of Grace, and enjoyed hanging out with Nessa’s ‘thin twin’ Soozie. Great to have a story about the elderly too. More please, Ruth!

Just fabulous
I loved the three generations . I felt as though I could see each character,felt the laughter and pain. Cried lots fun laughter made me smile ,I just loved every chapter
Ruth as always narrated beautifully, especially with Suzy I could here Ness from Gavin and Stacey .plus it was set in Wales so was lovely to have proper pronunciation. Loved Loved Loved it

Just wonderful
I’m a massive fan of Ruth Jones on screen and now I’m obsessed with her work in book form.
Such an incredible story with so many layers. Much of the book made me smile and along with the smiles, I have cried at many of the moments. So powerful. I’m now off to listen to Ruth’s other books.

A story I didn't want to end
I loved this story and was truly sorry it had to end. Narrated wonderfully by Ruth who brings the characters and their worlds to life in both her writing and her narration. Well done!

Really lovely book
The characters really came to life with Ruth narrating. I enjoyed the story, I thought it took a while to get into a flow. I did not work out the twist and that was a good addition and made me think about the other chapters that had gone by..
