About this listen
Brought to you by Penguin.
See the world. Then make it better.
I am 94. I've had an extraordinary life. It's only now that I appreciate how extraordinary.
As a young man, I felt I was out there in the wild, experiencing the untouched natural world - but it was an illusion. The tragedy of our time has been happening all around us, barely noticeable from day to day - the loss of our planet's wild places, its biodiversity.
I have been witness to this decline. A Life on Our Planet contains my witness statement and my vision for the future - the story of how we came to make this, our greatest mistake, and how, if we act now, we can yet put it right.
We have the opportunity to create the perfect home for ourselves and restore the wonderful world we inherited.
All we need is the will to do so.

Message from our National treasure
There is no doubt information ad argument by this national treasure of a great man, delivered as usual with grace and passion.
I have y doubt whether humans are either too late, or incapable to save our planet, I still do, yet one cannot help but feel inspired by this man that may be if we do what we can as an individual, and encourage others to do the same, who knows with the new normal that comes with the Covid pandemic, May be, just May be, can be done. He is certainly correct that we are the last generation of human that knows about our climatic problems and also the last that can do something about it before it will be too late. It is not being doomed and gloomed; it is the fact!

A Vital Read!
So sad to know how our beautiful planet has been trashed for so long by greedy people who knew the consequences of their actions and didn't care!
However, this book gave me the knowledge of how my own actions can help make the changes necessary if all living things have the chance to thrive and survive.

Life changing
This book opens your eyes to the dire condition our planet is in and how little time we have left to act. There is however, a lot of hope, should we decide to act. The book offers sound solutions which we as individuals or as a whole can take to ensure the survival of our species. A truly wonderful read and most highly recommended.

An imperative and captivating narration
This audiobook is both delightful and grim. It presents unique insights of man's global impact on nature during one lifetime. The narration feels down-to-earth and humble with a scientific approach. I loved it.

Probably the most important piece of literature you’ll ever listen to
Read beautifully and flawlessly by David Attenborough, this book is both petrifying and encouraging. This may be the most important book I will ever listen to, and is major food for thought on how we proceed to live on the planet.
