About this listen
Extraordinary uncovered work by the 16 million copy best-selling author of Man’s Search For Meaning.
Eleven months after his liberation from Auschwitz, Viktor E. Frankl held a series of public lectures in Vienna. The psychologist, who was to become world famous, explained his central thoughts on meaning, resilience and the importance of embracing life even in the face of great adversity.
Published for the very first time, Frankl’s words resonate as strongly today as they did in 1946. He offers an insightful exploration of the maxim ‘live as if you were living for the second time’ and unfolds his basic conviction that every crisis also includes an opportunity. Despite the unspeakable horrors in the camp, Frankl learnt from his fellow inmates that it is always possible to say 'yes to life' - a profound and timeless lesson for us all.

Life saver
It’s so relatable. Somebody I am very close to has suicidal tendencies and this book beautifully articulates and emphasises the importance of living and how irresponsible it is to take your own life, and even to deny someone a right to living because they may be deemed unsuitable for life. Easy to understand book, great food for thought. It’s universal and applies to all. It also helps you understand why…
It’s got answers to many questions.

Useful for anyone willing to lead a good life
Clear insights on what living your life is about. Meaning is underrated in our hedonistic society, driven by soundbites, moral judgments and emotional responses. This book does not judge, but provides a path you are welcome to explore.

Much needed perspective on our petty sorrows and frustrations.
Thought provoking and salutary. Prompted to ‘read’ Frankl and this publication specifically having heard him / it being discussed on Radio 4’s ‘It’s all in the mind’ programme this week. So glad I did. I’m a clinical psychologist and I think this book could be very helpful for those who struggle to see the way out of the paralysis created by a depressive or hopeless state of mind. It’s not an easy book to listen to but the effort pays dividends.

inspiring
Frankl was truly a brave and inspiring man. This book has given me insight into finding meaning in suffering. I listened to this audio book during the peek of the covid 19 pandemic. It has allowed me to see that I can say yes to life despite being isolated from those I love.
The audio book is easy to listen to .
