About this listen

A misunderstanding sparks an enemies-to-lovers romance between an outdoorsman and an aspiring writer in this funny and festive Christmas-themed novel.

So far, no man in Mistletoe, Idaho, has measured up to the literary heroes in Delilah Gill's favorite books. Anthony Russo is no exception. She's not sure why the steamy smooch they once shared suddenly turned frosty, and she's tried to keep her distance ever since. But she's had enough of being serially single, and she decides it's the perfect time to put herself out there.

Anthony isn't interested in playing games and he doesn't like being used—especially not to make his own best friend jealous. Still, a bruised ego doesn't stop him from imagining kissing Delilah again when she shows up to the local watering hole looking like a million bucks, and the other single men in town start to notice her considerable charms.

As December approaches and the Christmas festivities ramp up, both Delilah and Anthony find themselves roped into Mistletoe's seasonal happenings. It won't be long now before proximity turns loathing into interest, and ultimately a romance that could lead to a very happy holiday indeed . . .

I've read a couple of other books by the author. Quite frankly they were better while this one feels like a bleak copy. The dirt is just a little bit more but not as much as to spoil the whole book.

I'm a bit irritated, not because I'm a prude, but because I want to read about romantic love when I feel like it and about corn when I feel for that. In short, I want to be able to shoose what to read bu, i guess that's a matter for Audible...

The author can do better

i'm usually a thriller and mystery reader, so this was a nice easy read that i didn't have to concentrate too hard on. i like the dual narration too. only downside is the male readers female voice seemed to be the same for every female in the book, and always seemed to be the same tone and tempo, but it was good enough to stick with. the story itself was good, if a little frustrating at times. just wanted to shout at the main couple to just get on with it for god sake! they seemed determined to talk themselves out of what they clearly wanted. for me, the intimate scenes, the first one in anthony's truck, and the one were they finally had sex, didn't flow for me, the wording seemed a little wooden. maybe that was down to the reader? maybe that how the character's were meant to be portrayed. i do have a bad cold at the minute, so maybe it was just my brain not connecting with the atmosphere at the time. :) there were plenty of laugh outloud scenes too though, and i loved delilah, if she was real i'd have been queuing up to date her. :) overall, a good book and i'll read others from the same author/series. i wouldn't describe it as a book i couldn't put down, but i never had any inclination to ditch it.

a nice easy read
