チェロの演奏がなかなか上達しないゴーシュ、夜ごと練習する彼のもとへ様々な動物がやってくる・・。死ぬまで推敲を重ねた賢治の最後の作品とされる名作童話である。
宮沢 賢治（みやざわ けんじ、1896年 - 1933年）岩手県生まれ、童話作家、詩人。郷土をこよなく愛し、作品中にも岩手をモチーフにした架空の理想郷が登場する。
