The Revised Geneva Translation (based on Shakespeare's favorite Bible translation) is a 21st Century update of the very first widely-distributed version of the Holy Bible in English, The Geneva Bible. It is specifically designed to be SPOKEN and HEARD, repeatedly, and is built on the premise that a crucial key to revival in the present can be found in one simple practice from the past—speaking God’s Word back to each other in community.

“Torah”, the Hebrew word for instruction or law, is the collective name for the first five Books of the Tanakh, or Jewish Bible: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy. They first appeared widely in written form among English-speaking Christians with the Geneva Bibles of the 16th century. This 21st century modernization of that text is called the Revised Geneva Translation. It is intended to make the Received Text as actionable as possible to a modern audience.

The Fourth Book of Maccabees is a philosophical and theological treatise that explores the supremacy of reason over passion, particularly in the context of Jewish faith and martyrdom. While not part of the Hebrew Bible, it is included in some versions of the Septuagint, the Greek translation of the Old Testament.

Originally included in the King James Bible, **1st and 2nd Maccabees** offer a thrilling historical account of the guerrilla warfare in which, with God's help, the Maccabean brothers—Judas, Jonathan, and Simon—achieved extraordinary victories against vastly superior armies, ultimately restoring an independent Jewish kingdom and preserving their religious practices.

For over twenty years, Ittay Flescher has worked as an educator, journalist and peacebuilder in Melbourne and Jerusalem. When he woke up on the morning of October 7, 2023 to the sounds of rocket sirens over Jerusalem and later saw the devastation of Gaza in response, the grief and sadness that engulfed him—and so many others—compelled him to ask: how can we find a way forward? Following years spent facilitating dialogue between Jews, Muslims and Christians, Ittay believes that peace can only be found if we are willing to empathise with the pain of others.
