As we get ready to celebrate Diwali, I'm reminded how I’ve always taken pride in our rich storytelling culture. I grew up mesmerised by my grandmothers' heroic tales from ancient texts, their inspiring experiences of starting over after the Partition, and the daily dramedy of living with aunts, uncles and cousins galore. With so many of us craving the sense of community that these stories evoke, here are some of my favourites – from inspirational tell-alls by South Asian achievers, to sagas of struggles against adversity, to love, laughter and the beauty of ordinary moments. —Lavina Khemchandani, Audible Editor
