Professor, Faculty of Policy Studies, Doshisha University (concurrently Professor, Graduate School of Policy Science and Management). Ph. D. As a leading authority on organizational theory in Japan, he has written several books, and actively participates in the mass media and gives lectures. He is also known as a cat lover, and his life with cats has been featured on NHK. His recent books include "Do Nothing is best way in Japan - The Structure of Negative Selfishness Spreading in Society" (PHP Shinsho, 2022), "The Japanese Desire for Respect - The Depths Exposed by Remote work" (Shincho Shinsho, 2022), "The Source of Conformity Pressure" (PHP Shinsho, 2021), and "The curse of 'desire for respect'" (Shincho-Shinsho, 2019). His books are frequently used in university entrance examinations. He received the Organization Science Association Prize for "Professionals and Organization," the Management Science Literature Prize for "Workers and Organization: Corporate Innovation toward Infrastructure," and the Small and Medium Enterprise Research Encouragement Award Book Prize for "Venture Business 'Work'". He has authored more than 30 other books.
